Before We Bid Goodbye

Time flies so fast. It was like yesterday when I had marked my step on the floors of Ilocos Sur National High School. By that time I was young, undeveloped, and curious about everything around me, and now, I had grown older, expanded my thoughts, and ready for the next challenges to come.
More or less 2 months is not enough to tackle the lessons for the fourth quarter. A week more to go and we’ll have the final exams and prepare for the graduation. We are given a pinch of thoughts and ideas that would be good enough to use for our everyday life.
Before we say goodbye to our school, it is time to have our sincerest thanks to our loving teachers who guided us for four years. Having their sacrifices to share us their knowledge and ideas for us to use. They were able to improve our skills and abilities to be able to face more challenges. They had given us the map to trace the treasures of life.

To my classmates and friends, I thank you for sharing your time, for those times together, all those laughs and crazy things we’ve done. I’ll never forget all those little things we’ve done. Thank you so much!

My Dream, My Future

Dream is what we want to do. It’s our vision for tomorrow, the next day, and to what we are on our future. A dream is a must have on every lives of every people. And my dream is what I want.
My dream is to become a successful man.  A man that can help not only of his family but also the people around him. A man that can show what he can do, and can prove his worth. All I want is to be happy, making people around me feel happy too. I know it’s simple yet so hard to achieve, it starts from continuous failures and disappointments. Even the greatest men started from failures. And I believe I can make it. Failure is the best teacher that can help and build someone to be strong.
So as for now, I am doing my best to finish my studies. It depends on me if I pursue it or end it. It’s not bad to have a dream. It prepares us and makes us stronger to face the challenges of life.
Our future is in our hands. Tomorrow depends on how we behave and how we act today. We are the captain of our own ships, we are the once who can control our journey to our success.

Change Starts from Me

Change comes in many ways. In may appear to us like a touch of breeze in summer shores, or come in the most harsh and violent ways; loss of someone, tragedies and pain. But even though it’s often hard to accept, many times it’s for the best.
A wise man once had said, “The youth can be a catalyst of change.” And I as part of the youth should start the change in myself and trigger a reaction between the molecules around me. Large things started from smaller pieces. And the big change we are searching for can be achieved if we start it ourselves.
Changes are really hard to accept. At first it is a fad, but as it passed, it opens a door for new opportunities and possibilities.

KANNAWIDAN 2015

Festivals are made as way for us to showcase important things, such as the culture and traditions of a place. These are made to sustain and preserve its beauty for the next generations to see and feel how they live in the past.
Ilocos Sur, our own, is rich in cultures and traditions, that we Ilocano should be proud of. As a showcase on its stunning cultures and traditions, we have festivals to promote our products and show our culture to attract more tourists to come and visit our place. Climate Change

Climate change, nowadays is one of our biggest problem. It is one of the most important common threats our world is facing.
Climate change caused by most of human’s activities affects the cycle inn our world. Pollutants from vehicles, factories, destructive explosives etc. causes climate change to occur. With higher amounts of carbon dioxide in air, it prevents the heat from the sun to go back in space. It traps the heat causing the earth go warmer. As a result icebergs or ice capes from the northern and southern part of the globe melts contributing to the increase of water level, making some islands to shrink and totally disappear on earth’s map.

If this fad continues to happen, a destroyed earth maybe in your hands. But it’s not yet the end. We must make our move to prevent or lessen the effects of climate change. Save the world for the next generations.

REFLECTION

Every grading is a challenge and now where on second to the last grading of the school year. Few more months to go and we’re done with high school life. A little more effort to finish our assignments, projects, and other requirements. Preparing our eyes for more sleepless nights as we do our reviews and more paper works.
During the first part of my third quarter it was rare for me to seat inside the room and join the class. Those we’re the times when we are having our practice and final touch for our investigatory projects. I missed a lot quizzes, room activities and I was left on the newly tackled lessons. But with the help of my classmates I was able to cope up. I think so.
I know myself that I wasn’t able to show my best for this quarter so I need to exert more effort this last grading. So let’s do it together? Shall we?

Last year was great down for me for I have great mistakes committed and continuous fails as I had face some endeavors. So as a new leaf of my life had turned, I am open for new challenges that may help me improve for the better and live the old me behind.
